Fall is here!

It is only about 95 degrees!! Whoo hooo!

Overall we have stayed very busy!! With school, after school playing and homework time just seems to fly! If I am not at the gym or the store I am at Jakes's school, as being Homeroom Mom has kept me moving!! I never thought I'd do so much cutting!!

We continue to make great friendships and have a lot of fun getting together with other families over the weekend.

Our house is decorated with simple handmade (out of colored paper) decorations. It is nice to go backwards and make items like the old days, as it creates time for great family memories! The boys don't seem to miss the festive season we had in the states, I think I do more! However, they had to have a real pumpkin to carve..and a large one, I guess they are hard to get here because I had to pay about $30.oo for one!! But I couldn't deprive the kids of our annual carving tradition. One friend of mine that has four kids bought watermelons instead!!

Halloween is this Friday and we are going to a friend's house. They live in a small compound with a lot of Americans so it is great trick-or-treating! I'll miss the Alabama crew as Halloween was fun for adults and kids over the years!!

Below are a few glimpses of our life here in October...First the McArabia grilled chicken sandwich--it was really good!!
The annual hunting show...they are really into their birds here!!

The boys just being cute and happy!!

The fruit and vegatable market, good deals and fun!

Jett showing us his moves. The boys both love their version of "breakdancing." This is right after Jett had his first "saloon" haircut with Daddy...not bad for less than $5.00!! He already needs to go again!

Early Oct Re-Cap

Dubai Children's City Museum... They had a replica speceship and look where the astronaunt came from...
Jumerah Madinat Souk and Hotel, a gondolla ride through the canels of the hotel...

Half a tree fell on our house... We were glad we were not underneath it. We love these old beautiful trees, but they are quite messy!
